LTC(R) Russell Worth Parker spent the vast majority of his career in special operations unit in the US Marine Corps. As a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, he has a litany of combat lessons to pass on to the next generation of warriors. After 27 years of service both as a reservist and as an active duty officer, he retired from the U.S. Marine Corps.
However, he was far from done. He has gone on to write feature articles, ghostwrite books, and has since been published internationally. When the US forces pulled out of Afghanistan, Worth was on the cutting edge of coordinating the escape of many friendly Afghanis that were sure to be in harm’s way when the Taliban arrived in Kabul.
